Zola Viola Allen, 77, of Chowchilla,California died Monday.

Zola Viola Allen was born in Oklahoma, December 15, 1936.

She was best known by family as Zola but she preferred to be called Viola as she grew up.

Viola came to Chowchilla in 1963 along with her husband Ulis and their four sons, Stan, Gary, Chuck and Don.

In addition to being a proud great-grandmother she was like a mother and grandmother to many who knew her.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1969. Her love for Jehovah God, his son Jesus and her neighbors was very evident in her ministry.

One of her favorite scriptures: "and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away. - Rev. 21:4

Zola is survived by sons: Stanley, Gary, Chuck and Donald Allen. Sisters: Faye McQuilliam of Texas, Maxine Haggard of Arizona, Evelyn Pierce of Tennessee and Virginia Piper of California. Brother: Leroy Middleton of California.

She was preceeded in death by her husband Ulis Allen. Sisters: Dortha Middleton and Lavada Williamson, brothers: Armon "Jack" Middleton and Edward Middleton.

She was a cafeteria server.


Memorial: 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 901 Lake Ave.

Arrangements: Neptune Society of Central California.
