Born to Jabez Dangerfield and Harriet Elizabeth Morris Dangerfield. Married Mary Beatrice Fowers in 1918. Father to three children plus one stillborn.

He worked for the Farmers & Merchants Bank in 1918. The Bank eventually became the Walker Bank, and then First Interstate Bank. Now it is Wells Fargo. He also worked for the Cherry Hill dairy for several years as a bookkeeper. He retired twice--once at the age of 65 for several months, returned again to work at the Bank until he was 80 years old. His positions at the bank included teller, cashier, and assistant vice president.

At the time of his death he was survived by his children, 14 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
