William Ellsworth Mullineux was the second son of Jonathan and America J. Day Mullineux. He was called Will.

On 3 Nov 1893 Will married Iva Bridges. They eloped to the Christian Union Chuch in West Union, Ohio. At the time of his marriage, Will managed a telegraph office in Springfield, Ohio.

On 1 Feb 1895, his only child, a daughter, Nelle, was born in South Salon, Ohio.

He is found in the following US Federal Census records:
- 1870 for Gallipolis, Gallia Co., Ohio with his parents and older brother
- 1880 for Gallipolis, Gallia Co., Ohio with his parents, two brothers, one sister
- 1900 for Madison, Clark Co., Ohio with his spouse and young daughter, occupation listed as telegraph operator
- 1910 for Wellston, Jackson Co., Ohio with spouse and daughter, occupation listed as station agent for railroad
- 1920 for Toledo, Lucas Co., Ohio with spouse, occupation listed as assistant agent for the railroad
- 1940 for Knoxville, Knox Co., Tn as a widower, living on Terrace Avenue, Knoxville, Tn., with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. By the time of his death, the family had moved into the apartment building on Laurel Ave., and Will lived in his own apartment across the lobby.

Will and Iva are found in many US City Directories. In the 1914-1920 City Directories this family is found in Wellston, Ohio where he was a ticket and freight agent for the Cincinnati, Hamilton, and Dayton Railroad, until its merger. On 14 Nov 1916 he became chief clerk for the Pere Marquette Railway in Toledo, Ohio.

According to other City Directories, in 1922-1924 they lived in Ludington, Michigan. From 1926-1929 they lived in Bay City, Michigan. Iva Bridges died in 1929 in Toledo, Ohio, and from 1929-1932 he continued to live in Bay City, Michigan. He is found in City Directories from 1936 -1939 in Saginaw, Michigan.

It is remembered that he really loved college football, Ohio State, and on warm, sunny fall days he would dress warmly and sit outside in a folding chair with a plaid lap robe and listen to games on his portable transistor radio using earphones. By now he was very hard of hearing. At this time he was living in an apartment building in Knoxville, Tn to be near his only child, Nell Hobt. His great granddaughter would play in the iris bed and roll down the steep hill outside his apartment while he looked on.

He was a member of a Knights Templar Masonic organization in Ohio, and his Masonic sword was an object of endless fascination to his great grandchildren. His monogramed cuff links are a family treasure.
