Mrs. Anton Hochman, Sr., 76, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Frank Svatek of Rt. 2, Reedsville, where she resided the past six years. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Kalisek will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hochman was born Feb. 7, 1883 at Maple Grove, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Kabat Vondrachek. She was married to Anton Hochman, Feb. 17, 1903 at Reedsville. He died December 1, 1958. The couple farmed in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County until six years ago when it moved to its present residence. Mrs. Hochman was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Joseph Church.
Survivors include a son, Anton of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; two daughters, Mrs. Svatek and Sister Flavia of Manistee, Mich.; three brothers, Frank of Kaukauna, Daniel of Menonominee, Mich., and Stephen of Greenleaf; four sisters, Mrs. Emil Svatek Sr., of Reedsville, Mrs. Caroline Tikalsky of Reedsville, Mrs. Barbara Sinkula of Kewaunee and Mrs. Rose Schneider of Chicago and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. that evening and at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
