++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
May 5, 1919 – December 30, 2005
Daughter of James Daniel and Julia Chandler Archer, Mildred was the youngest of six children. Her siblings were James Frederick, Jesse Vernon, Ruby Larue, Cecil Lloyd, and Johnny Belle.
Mildred met and married Morris Berns Jones in Texas when he was stationed at Witchita Falls during WWII. They moved to Oregon after the war and settled in the Salem area where they raised their children. Many Jones Christmas family functions were spent in Beaverton where Bern's father William and William's brother Ora lived side by side having both families get together to cook large Christmas dinners. After dinner the rugs were rolled back and the Joneses became the band for dancing.
