Nola was born on a farm south of Burke, on February 27, 1928, to Alex and Vera Bauld. Two years later, the family moved to a farm north of Herrick, where she grew to womanhood. Nola married Don Bentz on March 28, 1944 in Winner and then Don enlisted in the Merchant Marines, and then the Navy. Nola saved her allotment checks and started an Army Navy store in Herrick.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Don Bentz and Lyle Reber; parents; sisters, Inez and Patricia; brother, Clinton; sons, Duane and Bobby,
Services were Aug. 12, 2014, at St. Onge United Church of Christ with Brian Aspen officiating. Burial was at Black Hills National Cemetery.
