She was the daughter of Pearl Scarbrough Carpenter and Ray Calvin Adams and niece of Josh and Belle Baughs who raised her in the Huron area.
On August 12, 1960, she married Ellsworth John Chapple and he preceded her in death, August 9, 2001. She lived many years in Whitney before moving to Kopperl and Waco. Anne was of the Baptist faith.
