MAGICVALLEY.COM, Times-News, Internet Edition, Twin Falls, Idaho, October 03, 2012. Obituary: Frances 'Fran' Charlotte Pratt Helmold. BURLEY • Frances (Fran) Charlotte Pratt Helmold, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend returned to her Heavenly Father after several years of health complications incident to age. She passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley. Fran, who was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Monterey Park, Calif., lived in Cassia County for several years, most recently in Burley. A multi-talented woman, Fran wrote several published books, poetry and songs. She sketched, painted and taught herself to play the piano and guitar, then taught all seven of her children to play and read music as well. Her beautiful alto voice warmed and inspired many people. All who knew her, especially our family, learned and benefited from these talents as well as well as her countless homemaking, gardening and repair skills. Ever eager to learn new skills, Fran even mastered the computer in her 70s. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church positions throughout her lifetime. She lived and shared her undying testimony of a loving Savior and of his plan for happiness. Obviously, an obituary is insufficient to create a picture of such a talented woman. Attend the funeral to hear the amazing details. Fran described her children as "Shining Stars in her Crown of Glory," a description they strive to attain. We, Fran's children, love her dearly. We express our appreciation and love to Richard, her husband and "knight in shining armor," who stood by her side and nursed her through her health challenges for several years. We also want to thank all those who provided support and help to mother and Richard, including her ward family and the wonderful nurses and therapists who worked to make her comfortable.

Fran is survived by her dedicated husband, Richard Helmold; her children, Ronald Haycock (Lorie), Linda Bolin (Mel), Charlene Shepard (Bill), Gayla Bullock (Dave Bartel), Joe Haycock and Viola Johnson (Dave). Her parents, Orson Raymond Pratt and Ida Florence Skinner;

as well as her daughters, Debra Lynn Haycock and JoAnne Adele Ferrin, preceded her in death. Fran's viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Morrison-Payne Funeral Home, 321 E. Main St. in Burley, as well as noon to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Burley LDS 2nd Ward building, 515 E. 16th St. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Burley LDS 2nd Ward building. Interment will be at the Heyburn Riverside Cemetery.
