Bill was the son of Louis & Emma (Garret) Whitnah, and the brother of Cliff & Eldon.
He was a construction supervisor, and in retirement drove a bus for Choctaw School District.
Bill proudly served his country by serving in the Army. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.
He was active in his church, serving as Deacon for Newalla Baptist Church and later attending Wilmont Baptist Church.
He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Leona Clark. He was married to Ovella McAlister at the time of his death.
He was father to Donald (Susie) Whitnah and Billeta Evans, stepfather to Allen McAlister, Mike McAlister and Victor McAlister; grandfather to Patricia Evans, Stephanie Maggot, Shelly Atwell; great-grandfather to Koston & Kyle Maggot.
He also leaves behind many loved cousins, nieces, newphews and extended family
