Adan Ortega Piña, 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday morning June 26, 2014. Born February 13, 1934 in Yoakum, Texas to Tanis Piña and Catarina Ortega; he was the fourth child in a family of eleven children. Adan married Blanca Garza; they were blessed with three children, sons Adam and Joab and daughter Shirley. Adan worked as a heavy-equipment operator most of his life, building a home in Bay City and raising his three children there. He was a member of the Agape Church and loved to go fishing and to drink coffee while visiting with friends around Bay City, especially sitting at the Feed Store.
Adan is preceded in death by his wife, Blanca; his youngest son, Joab; his parents Tanis and Catarina and several of his siblings.
Internment followed services at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
