Lois C. Naugle, 94 of Harco, passed away at 2:40 a.m. Monday, Aug, 4, 2014, at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.
Lois was born south of Harco in a farm house to Ernest and Opal (Carson) Reynolds on Sept. 21, 1919. She was married to George Rude Sr. and had her son George who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2008. Later Lois was married to Cy Naugle and after his passing Lois continued to operate Naugles General Store in Harco. She also ran the Post Office for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Galatia. Lois retired in 1988 and started her busy days by reading the Bible. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and caring for her black lab "Cole" that passed away on Nov. 18, 2011.
Lois is survived by her daughter in law, Carmen; grandson, Greg; niece, Lois Anne and Lou; only cousin, Otis; friend, Rita; and her grandson who preceded, Roger.
Lois will celebrate her 95 birthday surrounded by family and friends in heaven. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from noon Thursday to the funeral hour at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Workman will officiate with burial in the Brushy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brushy Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
