James B. Aitken, realtor and resident of San Anselmo for 30 years, died suddenly last night.
An autopsy will be performed on the 55 year old man to determine exact cause of death. He lived at 30 Woodland Avenue.
A native of Oregon, Aitken was a member in Marin of Fairfax Lodge No. 556 F&AM, Marin High Twelve Club, Marin Pyramid No. 31 Sciota, San Anselmo Post No. 179, American Legion; Fairfax Acacia Club, and Multiple Listing Board.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Margaret S. Aitken; 3 sons and a daughter, Kenneth S. Aitken of San Anselmo; James B. Aitken Jr. of Berkeley; David Aitken, air cadet USAF; Mrs. George C. Hepburn of Long Beach.
He was the the brother of Ralph E. Aitken; George N. Aitken, who resides in San Anselmo; John C. Aitken, and Mrs. Betty Aitken.
Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services are pending at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael.
