STEINHAUSER RITES ARRANGED FORMER LOCAL WOMAN DIES AT
TERRE HAUTE HOME OF SON

Mrs. Carros (Lacy) Steinhauser, widow of Christian Steinhauser, former local jeweler and originator of the Monte Glove Company, died at 3:00 PM Sunday at the home of a son, Burton Steinhauser in Terre Haute. She was 86. Mrs. Steinhauser, who had resided with the son for several years, had been in failing health for several months. Surviving with the son at whose home she died, are a daughter Mrs. Helen Barnes of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Voltz of Veedersburg and four grandchildren. Mrs. Steinhauser was a member of the First Presbyterian Church here and Rev. Roscoe M. Wolvington, pastor of the church will officiate at the funeral rites, Tuesday. The services will be held at the Carmony Funeral Home on West Broadway at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
