The death of Mrs Pellew, wife of Mr. James Pellew, of Norton's Summit, occurred on Saturday. Mrs. Pellew, who was 57 years of age, had been suffering from cancerous disease for about six months, and the news of her death will be received with deep regret. She was a native of Ireland, and came to the colony with her parents in 1852. She had been living at Norton's Summit for 22 years, previous to which she resided at North Adelaide. The deceased lady was highly esteemed for her devotion to the local Baptist Church work and her friends were legion. She has left, in addition to the widower, two sons and three daughters. The latter are Mrs. Thomas Playford, Jun., and Mrs. H. Slade, of Norton's Summit, and Mrs. E. W. Hamp, of East Adelaide; and the sons are Messrs. Alfred Pellew, of Norton's Summit, who is married, and Leonard Pellew, of the Adelaide University. The funeral notice was inadvertently omitted from The Advertiser on Monday.
