Have received conflicting dates of birth for Orson - some say 1809 and others say September 25, 1799. Also received one that says October 1, 1799. The "A Genealogical Record of Samuel Pond & His Descendants" by Daniel Streator Pond (written in 1873) notes the October 1, 1799 date of birth.∼Orson Pond was married to Triphena Sheldon (b. Nov. 17, 1808) in July, 1826.
