Darryll Albrecht, age 72, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Rolla, ND passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND with a Prayer Service at 7 pm.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11 am in the Presbyterian Church, Rolla, ND with Pastor Trudy Dumont officiating.
Burial was in the Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND.
Casket beaarers were Joe Vandal, Troy Fleck, Gordy Nord, Ross Gailfus, Jeff Hintz, and Randy Kastelitz. Honorary bearers were all grandchildren.
Daryll Walter Albrecht was born August 21, 1941 in Rolla to Walter and Edna (Cherry) Albrecht. Darryll was born and was raised in Rolla where he graduated from high school in 1959.
Darryll and Romayne (Berg) Sand married and had two children, Natalie and Darren, they later divorced. Darryll then married Bonnie (Swendsen) Murray on June 3, 1981, bringing two families together with Lauri, Lisa and Beth.
Darryll worked in the lumber business for a number of years while farming and maintaining the Club Bar in Rolla. They eventually moved to Beulah where he worked for Beulah Lumber for 13 years. After retiring they moved to Mandan. Outside of work, Darryll loved to fish, hunt, go bowling, and woodworking.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending the manc indoor and outdoor activities that they partisipated in on a daily basis. Darryll was a member of the Elks Club for many years.
Darryll was a husband, father, and grandpa who shared his love with his family and friends. He will be missed and never forgotten.
Darryll is survived by his wife, Bonnie Albrecht of Mandan; son, Darren (Gayle) Albrecht of Grafton; daughters, Natalie (Jeff Hintz) Albrecht of Devils Lake, Lauri (Gordy) Nord, Lisa Schmidt, both of Bismarck and Beth (Ross) Gailfus of Detroit Lakes, MN; eight grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Dalton, Nolan, Ben, Katy, Tom, and Derek; father, Walter Albrecht of Rolla; sister, Kathy (Randy) Kastelitz of Billings, MT; brother, Blayne Albrecht of Laporte, IN.
He was preceded in death by his nother, Edna Albrecht; step mother, Mary; and son-in-law, Pat Schmidt.
