Thomas W Alexander was born in Cannon Co TN to Benjamin C and Nancy Elizabeth Davenport Alexander. He moved from TN in early 1920 to No West Ky, then in 1940 moving north to Mishawaka IN. After raising 9 children,(2 died young),with his beloved "Lindy" she died in their 53rd yr together. He had maintained the Mishawaka, IN City Cemetery for 20 plus years, where he dug graves by hand until after his 70th birthday. He lived into his 92nd yr, as did seven of his nine siblings.
He was very proud of his Tennessee heritage and visited his hometown, Woodbury, Tn. many times. He was a fine gentleman and supported his church his entire life. He outlived both his wives and was a most loved grandfather of 20, great grandfather of 40. He was our wonderful, loved Papa!
