Alvin William Kordosky, age 78 died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday evening, December 5, 2007 in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Alvin was born on December 6, 1928 in River Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Carl and Anne Kordosky. He grew up and lived in River Falls all of his life. He loved to hunt for deer, turkey and small game, trout fishing, and trips to Alaska. He was an accomplished bowler having the high score record at Hilltop Lanes. And he enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers. Alvin was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post 121 for over 50 years.

He is survived by his special companion, Lucille Pechacek; brother Alfred Kordosky; and many cousins, friends, and neighbors.

His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation for Alvin will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007 at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services, River Falls and also one hour prior to Mass at church on Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial for Alvin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Interment will be at Cherma Cemetery.
