John William Ackenhusen, formerly of South Charleston, passed away on August 4, 2014 in Silverdale, WA. He is survived by his wife Anne of Silverdale and four children: John G. Ackenhusen of Ann Arbor, MI; Anne F. Ackenhusen of Bainbridge Island, WA; Mary B. Ackenhusen of Vancouver, BC; and Thomas W. Ackenhusen of Winfield, IL. Also surviving are his six grandchildren: Anne and Michaela Johns, Katherine and Jonathan Muzyka, and Sarah and Jacob Ackenhusen.
Services were held on August 8 in the Stone Chapel at Poulsbo, WA followed by a reception at the Country Meadows retirement community in Silverdale, WA. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13 in Riverside Cemetery in Hastings, MI.
