Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Mae Hobbs
Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Hobbs, 79, were held Thursday afternoon in the Methodist church in Aurora with the Rev. S. B. Thomas officiating.

Louisa Mae Hobbs, daughter of John and Kate Beetem was born Sept. 24, 1874 in Otoe County, Nebraska and passed away in the Aurora hospital Nov. 30, 1953 after an illness of several months.
On November 15, 1894 she was united in marriage with John Maw. To this union four children were born, Walter of Ontario, Calif., Wilber of Giltner, Albert, and Mrs. Grace Van Horn of Aurora.
Mr. Maw died in 1913 and two years later she and Frank Hobbs were married. Mr. Hobbs died in 1946.
Mrs. Hobbs was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and as a young girl, was organist for Church and Sunday School.
Besides her children, she is survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also three brothers and one sister, Mrs. Grace Rogers. Her parents, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
Burial was in Greenwood cemetery, southeast of Giltner.
