UPDATE 25, JULY 2015: I have just received comment that it is believed Reverend Banks authored at least one book on church matters and/or history, but I haven't been able to ind a lead on this thought, yet. Any follow up information would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE, 3, SEPTEMBER 2014: I am leaving my original comments up regarding Thomas Banks' death information, but I did receive well-meaning e-mails today stating that the member thought that Thomas had died in Glamorganshire, Wales in 1929, well into his 60s'. The reason that I hesitate to take my own thoughts down is that there is NO verification of the information I received today - the very nice lady behind the messages stated this, herself -, but again, I appreciate any and all assistance on this site...perhaps somebody else will be able to verify this latest thought for all concerned. =)

UPDATE: 2, SEPTEMBER 2014: I have just found paperwork stating that Thomas had at least two brothers - Edward Church, born in 1859 and died in 1861 at Cornwall (verified through UK death registration information), and William, born in 1856 at Cornwall. I also have numerous comments that Thomas' father, Edward Sr., was a 'draper' by profession; Thomas' mother Anne is in fact noted in cencus reports from her era as a 'draper's wife', and the three sons that I have found so far are all listed as 'draper's son'. I will continue to research these new verified family members and place memorial pages online for them asap.

Reverend Thomas Hardy Banks was the father of Edward Francis Banks, the only son of seven children. Reverend Banks and his wife Margaret (former Truscott) enjoyed a settled life in and around Greater London; their children were born in various boroughs of the city.

I have just received verification of many facts that I have sought for decades; I will be placing memorial pages online as I decipher dates, etc. for each person. At this point, I do not have verified information of dates and places of death for any of Reverend Banks' family, other than his son Eddie's, but I will continue to trace details, and any and all comment is more than welcome.

There is comment that Thomas' father was Edward Banks, and his mother's maiden name may have been Rathbone; there is also an incomplete notation that the St. Gluvius, Cornwall area figures into this family's details.

Thomas' and Margaret's only son Eddie was KIA on the battlefields of France, and his link will tell the reader of those events.

There are a few small comments in local newspapers of the time about Reverend Banks and his family, but after about 1925, threads and information run to stops. I do not know whether perhaps the family moved to America or Canada (as many of our Banks' members did around that time); whether Eddie's loss has anything to do with a very settled family simply disappearing from genealogy files - I simply don't know at this point. Again, I will do my best to update this page as soon as possible.
