Mrs. Ruth Aiken Raynor, widow of the late James Earl Raynor, passed away August 6, 2014 in Texas.

Formerly of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. Raynor was the daughter of the late Wade and Tersie Smith Aiken. She had a great love for children and devoted her life to child care through public child development and nurturing her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Raynor is survived by her children, Julianne Sayers and husband Bob; and Dennis Raynor and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Taylor Sayers, Stephanie Sayers, Madison Raynor, Jessica DeMotte and husband Michael, and Amanda Works and husband Larry; five great grandchildren; and her brother, Charles Aiken and wife Evelyn. Mrs. Raynor was predeceased by a son, Charles Raynor.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Child Development Ministries of First United Methodist Church, 904 65th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to University Baptist Church, 1740 E. Highway 501, Conway, SC 29526.
