Charles L. Peal, age 82, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born in Donelson, TN on August 18, 1931. Charles enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. During this Charles married Sally Gallagher. They were married for 63 years. During his life Charles worked as an Automotive Mechanic and later as an employee of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Ocala, FL. He liked to watch auto racing, camping and golfing.
He is survived by his wife Sally Peal of Ocala, FL; sons Charles Peal of Southbury, CT; Daniel Peal of Lyndonville, VT; and James Peal of Ocala, FL; daughters Karen Bergquist of Newtown, CT; and Cindy Bednar of Ansonia, CT; sister Nancy Adams of Nashville, TN; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Richard Peal.
A visitation will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 642 NE 20th Street, Ocala, Florida 34470 on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 5-7pm. A funeral service will also be held at the church on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10am. Interment with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 12:30pm.
