LeRoy loved his family; any time he didn’t spend working was spent with his children or grandchildren. He enjoyed reading the paper, playing sheepshead with his family and teaching his grandchildren Rummy. Mr. Meyer was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Lakes Congregation.
Survivors include his loving wife Ruth, children Roger (Barbara) Meyer of the Town of Fredonia, James Meyer of the Town of Sherman, Daniel (Sandra) Meyer of Silver Creek, Peter (Chris) Meyer of the Town of Scott, Stephen (Bonnie) Meyer of the Town of Belgium, Mary (Jeffrey) Ternes of Random Lake, Susan (Glen) Schnelle of Hingham and Ronald (fiancée Theresa Huether) Meyer of Campbellsport. He is further survived by 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, brother John (Linda) Meyer of Kiel, sisters-in-law Dolores Schroeder of Cascade and Luella Ansay of Belgium, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by brother Ralph Meyer and brothers-in-law Roland (the late Alice) Jacoby, Donald Schroeder and Arno Ansay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Monday, March 19th at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Nicholas Chapel, Dacada. Father Neil Zinthefer will preside. LeRoy will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery, Random Lake following Mass. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Sunday, March 18, from 4-7PM and again on Monday, March 19, from 9AM until services at 10AM.
