Kentucky New Era obit posted 27 Feb 1967 reads as follows:

Thomas Fraud Boren, 76, retired Cadiz carpenter, died at 9:15 Sunday night at Veterans Hospital Nashville, after a long illness.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. J N Darnell, assisted by the Rev. M M Hampton. Burial will be in Boren Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Boren was born Oct. 9, 1880, in Trigg County. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Dry Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Trigg County.

After the death in 1919 of his first wife, Mrs. Beulah May Boren, he was then married in 1931 to the former Jettie Hargrove, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Pepper and Mrs. Thesda Hutchison, both of Trigg County, and Mrs. Mary Lander, Hopkinsville; two sons, Thomas Charles and Jerry Boren; a brother, Lem Boren, Manitou Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
