DEATH OF MRS. BURHANS
Had Been Ill Two Years - Funeral on
Saturday Afternoon

Mrs. Allie E. Burhans, wife of Charles H. Burhans of 135 Tompkins-st., died at her home at 4:30 o'clock this morning after an illness of two years' duration.

The deceased was born in the town of Virgil and was the daughter of Abraham and Maria Oaks, being one of a family of eight children, four girls and four boys.

Mrs. Burhans spent practically all her life in the city of Cortland. She was a member of Homer-ave. M.E. church and of the Neoscoleta Rebekah lodge.

Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Burhans of this city; one brother, George Oaks of Virgil and one sister, Mrs. Horace Perkins of Cortland.

The funeral will be held from the late home on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. C.E. Hamilton, D.D. of the Cazenovia seminary will have charge of the services and will be assisted by Rev. Benjamin Rowe, the pastor of the Homer-ave. M.E. church. The interment will be made in the family lot of the Cortland Rural cemetery.
