OSCAR, Ky. -- Services for James E. "Jim" Romaine, 78, of Oscar will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Marty Brown officiating. Burial will be at Oscar Community Cemetery.

Mr. Romaine died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years, where he served in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star. Mr. Romaine operated a garage business in Gage, Bandana and Oscar. He was a member of the Big Brothers organization and a member and deacon of Oscar Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Belcher Romaine, three sons, two daughters, four brothers, three sisters, 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

His parents were Joe and Anna Lou Romaine.
