The death of Cassius Elmer Adams. former resident of Winamac, occurred Monday at the Veteran's Hospital at Indianapolis. Fifty-two years of age, he suffered from a heart ailment. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Fry & Lange funeral home in charge of the Rev. E. J. Peters. There were also military services. Mr. Adams was born April 18, 1895, at North Grove, Ind. He was married in Winamac to Miss Opal Ren in 1920, and they lived here until moving to Brazil five years ago. He was a carpenter and veteran of the first World War. Survivors include the widow; children, Mrs. Hazel Bridegroom of Winamac, Mrs. Betty Brush of Brazil, Agnes, Elma and James at home; brothers Elston Adams of Crown Point, Carman of Gary, Melbourne of Milwaukee, sisters, Mrs. Murial Ackley and Mrs. Corrine Rill of Ashland, Wis., Mrs. Halene Bardonner of Michigan City; father and stepmother, Mrs. and Mrs. Harry Adams of Merrillville; six grandchildren.

Cassius E. Adams' mother was Olive Boyer. Olive Boyer Adams d. 1897, buried North Grove Cemetery, Miami Co., Ind. Her tombstone was not found.
