Mrs. Elizabeth Lorge, 86, of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, March 8, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mrs. Lorge, nee Elizabeth Laurent, was born July 19, 1895, in the Township of Red River, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late August and Madeline Deterville Laurent. She was married to Eugene J. Lorge in September of 1919, at Brussels. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1969. Mrs. Lorge was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and Manitowoc Senior Citizens. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene F. and Darlene Lorge and Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Fred Schnorr of Two Rivers, and Iva and Oscar Vaughn of Joliet, Ill.; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Mary Laurent of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wells of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Laura Helmer of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of services.
