ANITA V. MARTIN
Anita V. Martin, age 77, of Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, February 22, 2001, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am. Saturday, February 24, 2001, at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Louis Sievert will officiate with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, town of Kossuth.
Anita was born November 20, 1923, in New London, Wis., daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Knope Hallada. She moved to Two Rivers as a small child and attended Two Rivers Public Schools, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1942. She was also a graduate of Holy Family School of Nursing in 1946. On August 16, 1947, she married Orville S. Martin, at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1977. She worked in various hospitals during her nursing career, retiring from Two Rivers Community Hospital, in 1986 after 28 years working as an operating room nurse and supervisor. She was a member of Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, an active member of the Aurora Medical Center Volunteers, and a volunteer at Anchor Pregnancy Counseling Center in Manitowoc.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Elaine Hallada; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Martin.
