Marion was united in marriage to Donald Nichols in Manitowoc, Wis., on Sept. 10, 1949. She spent her working years in the healthcare field as a Nurse at Manitowoc County Healthcare Facility. Marion and Donald moved to the Sparta/Tomah area, where they have lived for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Nichols of Tomah; her children, Cynthia (Paul) Solberg of Sparta, Wis., Daniel (Sheila) Nichols of Sparta, Stephen Nichols of Manitowoc, Wis., and Mary (Michael) Nigbur of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Jeanne (Michael) Solberg Hudson, Eric (Becky Everson) Solberg, Cory and Carissa Nichols, Joe, Jacob and Kayla Nichols, Marcus and Scott Nigbur; and great-grandchildren, Alexander and Abigail Hudson and Jacob Nichols.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. The Rev. James Leary OFM.Cap. will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Manitowoc, Wis. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah.
