GERTRUDE J. OLSON Gertrude J. Olson, 77, of 929 S. 31st Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, June 25, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Revs. Charles Morkin and Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mrs. Olson was born September 27, 1911 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Otto and Helen Detjen Kuehne. She married Raymond O. Olson on November 26, 1930 at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1972. Mrs. Olson was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center, member of Manitowoc County Historical Society and also past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge of the I.O.O.F. Mrs. Olson was the past President of St. John United Church of Christ Women's Guild and also a member of the Friends club, Mission Circle, Altar Circle and Prayer Chain. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Grace Olson of Manitowoc and Leroy and Elaine Olson of Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Elaine Kuehne of Manitowoc and Kurt and Alice Kuehne of Hampton, Iowa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Victor Neuhaus of Port Washington and Ruth and Raymond Klug of Manitowoc; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ralph. Friends may call Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon to the time of services at the church.
