Ede Lorene ACOSTA (04/08/1929 - 08/09/2014)

ACOSTA, Ede Lorene (Age 85) Of Spokane passed away Saturday August 9, 2014 at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She was born April 8, 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma to Sherman and Ede Ash, where she was raised. As an adult she lived in many places throughout the southern US and moved to Spokane in 1964. She was primarily a housewife and owned and operated a bar for a time. Ede loved hummingbirds and gardening, but more than anything she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her "daddy" Sherman Ash, and a daughter Marion Marketha Burchett. She is survived by her daughter Jowanna Hilderbrand; her grandchildren Stephanie (Fred) Watt, Jeremiah (Bryce) Jenkins, Ede Hilderbrand, Tanner (Fernanda) Hilderbrand, and Channa Clemit; as well as great-grandchildren Bradley and Kurtis Watt, Perola and Emily and Jacob Hilderbrand; and a special niece Marian (Joe) Sisneros. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Fairmount Memorial Park at 1:00pm and is under the direction of Ball & Dodd Funeral Home.
