Dad told a story about Ruth finding a four leaf clover. She put it in her shoe for good luck. She had just collected the eggs and fell on the way back with them and broke all the eggs. He thought it funny seeing she had the four leaf clover in her shoe.



Amy Ruth Miller Allen - was born January 31, 1907 and departed this life January 13th 1944; age 36 years, 11 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Owen Allen on March 9th, 1924. To this union 10 children were born, five preceeding her in death. Surviving are Mary, Donivee, Billie Gene, Almarita, and Sarah Jane, all at home.
She leave to mourn her going her husband, 5 children, 2 Grandchildren, her father, Gene Miller, 2 brothers in Illinois and 3 brothers serving in the U. S. Army.
She was converted in 1940 and united with the New Hope Baptist church and lived a devoted Christian life until the Lord called her.
She was laid to rest in New Hope Cemetery. Funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. S. R. Pillow, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1944.
Russell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements
Personal Note: annie and Elivis' funeral was preached by the same preacher. Rev Pillow.
