Hilda Koens, daughter of Henry G. and Emma (DeLong) Koens, was born August 1, 1920 in Lismore, MN. Hilda lived with her family on a farm near Adrian, MN. She received her education in the Adrian school.
Hilda was united in marriage with Marlowe L. DePauw on September 5, 1941 at Adrian, MN. Following their marriage the couple lived in Luverne, MN. During World War II, they lived in Tampa, FL. After the war, they returned to Luverne. They moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1955.
Hilda worked at Maytag in downtown Sioux Falls as well as selling Stanley Home Products and Royal Neighbors of America products. Her favorite hobby was fishing, fishing, fishing. In addition, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling and visiting with friends and family. She made many trips to visit family members, including trips to California, Hawaii, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents.
