RITES TUESDAY
FOR A.L. ADAIR

Anson Leroy Adair, 53, a retired oil field tool dresser and former potash worked, died yesterday at a local hospital. He resided at 106 West Shaw.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the Carpenter Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Melvin Ray, pastor of First Baptist Church, will conduct the rites, and burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bob Rose, Bill Britton, O.O. Allen, L.E. Tabor, Richard Vannoy and B.E. Wiley.

Born Aug. 31, 1900, in Waxahachie, Tex., Adair came to Carlsbad in 1939. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W.T. Harrison, Mrs. Troy Frye and Mrs. Joe Simms, all of Carlsbad; two brothers, Austin Adair of Bynum, Tex., and Alvin Adair of Fort Worth, Tex.; five sisters, Mrs. Rufa Page, Mrs. Zula Bowen and Mrs. Fleta Korger, all of Dallas, Mrs. Ida Stogner of Carlsbad and Mrs. Florence Maybin of Forth Worth; and four grandchildren.
