Jody was born April 5, 1964, in Osmond, Nebraska, to David and Betty (Hill) Sage. He grew up in the Niobrara and Crofton, Nebraska areas and graduated from Crofton High School in 1982. While he was in high school he started working at Cedar Pork in Hartington, Nebraska. He married Deborah Radack on October 22, 1983 in Yankton. Jody was a hard worker, who was always willing to help or lend a hand but never wanted any credit for the things he did. Even in his death, Jody continues to help others through his decision to be an organ donor. Over 60 people will benefit from Jody's donation. He was a diehard Husker fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing cards, playing yard games, attending his children's sporting events, watching Adam race, and entertaining at his house especially at his yearly 4th of July party.
