Born to Joe and Francis (Ybarra) Garcia. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1968. He then attended and graduated from Northwestern State University in Alva. After graduation, he married Debra Lichti. For most of his life, he played softball for various teams and won many trophies. He later married Elaine Leid on June 8, 1996 in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawton. He was employed with Goodyear for twenty years before medically retiring. He was a devout member of the Holy Family Catholic Church since 1979. He will be missed tremendously by his wife, children and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Garcia, of the home; three children, Damian Garcia of Lawton, Anitrá Gardner and her husband, Jerry, of Wylie, Texas, and d’Andrea Garcia of Parker, Colorado; a grandson, Kaden Gardner of Wylie, Texas; two brothers, Danny Garcia of Oklahoma City and Terry Garcia of Woodward; three sisters, Kathleen Holt of Woodward, Sandra Scott of Woodward and Monica Payne of Piedmont; a sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

His parents and a brother, Mark Garcia, preceded him in death.

Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor, officiating.
