CAYCE - A funeral service for Henry Harvey Braswell will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Oakwood Baptist Church, 3520 Mineral Springs Road, Lexington, SC 29073, officiated by Pastor Rich Wilson. The casket will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park with military honors. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. 2014 at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service, 914 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church.

Mr. Braswell passed away on Sunday, August 10. 2014 at the age of 83. He was born in Hamlet, NC on August 7. 1931, and was the son of the late Grover T. Braswell, Sr. and Henry Cleveland Lewis Braswell. He is an Army veteran of WWII and retired from Braswell Insurance Services, which he owned and operated. He was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Grover (Daphan) Braswell, Ken (Judy) Braswell, and Doreen (Mitch) Hook; sister, Hazel Braswell Williams; brother, Robert Braswell; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Mr. Braswell was preceded in death by his wife, Getha Lewis Braswell; son, Karl Emanuel Braswell; and daughter, Wilda Gay Braswell.
