Evelyn Swiger, age 91, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Brookside Care Center.
Born on Washington Island, WI, on July 30, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Marie (Christensen) McDonald.
She attended Jackson Harbor School and was a graduate of Detroit Harbor High School. Evelyn then attended Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee.
On April 29, 1967, Evelyn was united in marriage to Walter Swiger at St. Mary's Lutheran Church in Kenosha.
She was employed as a business assistant with Travelers Insurance in Milwaukee for over 20 years and at the time of her death was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving Evelyn are her brother, Leland (Lois) McDonald; her sister-in-law, Jeanette McDonald; her seven loving nephews, Michael (Dolores), Patrick, Kevin, Brian (Mary Beth), Timothy (Margaret), Dennis (Lisa) and Scott (Sara) McDonald and her step-son, Walter (Pam) Swiger.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles in 2004 and Clark in infancy.

Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Private Entombment will take place in Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc, WI.

A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, Kenosha, WI.
