"BRIEF ILLNESS FATAL TO SAMUEL P. ELLIOTT
"Samuel Pyke Elliott, 74, 298 West Walnut street, died at his home late yesterday after a week's illness from pneumonia.

"Born at Upton, Pa., Oct. 21, 1862, a son of John D. and Eliza (Pyke) Elliott, he was married Feb. 25, 1891, to Agnes Palmerton, who survives.

"Also surviving are three sons, Charles W., Monica, Ill.; Glenn, London Mills, and Emerson, Canton; two brothers, four sisters, three half-brothers, three half-sisters, and five grandchildren.

"Friends may call at the Murphy Memorial Home.

"Funeral arrangements are incomplete."

"Funeral services for Samuel Pyke Elliott were conducted at Murphy Memorial Home yesterday afternoon by Dr. F.E. Shult, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church. Mrs. H.T. Miller sang, with Miss Agnes Christopher at the organ.

"Pallbearers were Marion and Floyd Hart, Emery Meyers, Frank Wood, George Wright and Howard Daily. Burial was in Foster Cemetery."
