Lonia I. Burford, 81, of Tupper Creek, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 23, 2006, after a short illness.
She was a member of Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle, and former Sunday school teacher.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was very kind and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Avilee Baldwin; husband, Ora F. Burford; daughter, Kathy McGraw; and grandchildren, Cameron Carpenter, and Larchie Burford Jr.
Surviving her are children, Oretta Burgess, and Jim; William “Buddy” Burford, and Joyce; James Burford, and Joyce; Avilee Hodge and Kenneth; Diana Kelley and Romie; Sharon Holmes, and Mike; Brenda Smith, and Ricky; Larchie Burford, and Dreama; Ricky Burford, and Carrie; Darrell Burford, and Regina; Connie Hicks and Ricky; Roger Burford, and Linda; 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters and brother are Nellie Jones, Julie Carter, and Oscar “Chick” Higginbotham.
