Ladislaus Siewert of Newton, Called to Rest Monday
Ladislaus Siewert, 71, passed away 6 pm Monday at the farm home at Newton after a years' illness.

Survivors are his wife and the following children: Walter of Custer, S. Dak.; Frank of Fremont, Neb.; Joseph and Ladd of Milwaukee; Edward and John at home; Ray of Manitowoc; Mrs. Arno Zurheide (Sophia) of Sheboygan; Mrs. Gordon Pippert (Helen) of Cleveland; Mrs. Fredric Stocks (Adeline) of Sheboygan; and two sisters, Mrs. Valentine Mallinski of Chicago and Mrs. Edward Rohde of Newton.

Fourteen grandchildren also survive. A son, Stanley, preceded him in death on July 20, 1941.

Mr. Siewert was born at Newton, April 17, 1870. He lived at the homestead all his life and was married to Helen Bonk November, 1894.

The body is in state at the home and may be viewed there until time of services, which will be held at 9:30 am Thursday at the home and at 10 o'clock at St. Casimir's church.
