Lester H. Tetzlaff, age 92, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, 2021 S. Alverno Road, Manitowoc, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct 12, 2004, at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., in Mishicot, with the Rev. Chris Schwab officiating, with burial to follow in the Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Lester was born July 26, 1912, in Marinette, to the late Albert and Lucille Klein Tetzlaff, and has been a longtime area resident. He married the former Anita Boje, on July 31, 1937, in the town of Herman, in Sheboygan County. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 1999. He was employed for many years at the Metal Ware Corporation, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Melnik Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder of the church. He was a longtime member of the Kettlerange Snowmobile Club, where he served as a past-president. He also served as the union steward and was past president of the Metal Ware Corporation Union. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed snowmobiling and going north to his land in Lakewood camping with his family and friends. Survivors include two daughters and three sons-in-law: Barbara and Michael Gray of Two Rivers, Sandi and Archie Moore of Chicago, Ill., and Donald Hagenow of Two Rivers; one son and two daughters-in-law: Larry and Kathy Tetzlaff of Mishicot and Janice Tetzlaff of Mishicot; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister: Leona Rehbein of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law: Esther Boje of Kiel, and Gladys Tetzlaff of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law: William Boje of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his son: Lester T. Tetzlaff; his daughter: Darlene Hagenow; one great-grandson: Dean Donald Hagenow Jr., and by five brothers and one sister. Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
