Stephen Allen Adams, 63, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 in a local hospital. He was born in Chattanooga on April 7, 1951 the son of Dorothy Jane Adams of Somerset, Kentucky and the late Royce Adams. Steve grew up in Dayton, Tennessee.

He was a member of the Pride of the Southland marching Band at the University of Tennessee and sang with the UT Singers. He attended Ashland Terrace Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Dianne Adams; sister, Debbie Adams Washam of Somerset, Kentucky; daughter, Amy Stagl and son Stephen Adams of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. Brad McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
