She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and was raised in Pocatello where she graduated from Pocatello High School in 1942. She then went to George Washington University in Washington DC where she graduated in Zoology, and then received her Masters Degree at Mt. Holyoke University in Massachusetts. She was then awarded a scholarship which enabled her to receive her Doctorate Degree from the University of Chicago.
Following graduation, she joined the faculty of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She became the first tenured woman professor in the Sciences there, and published several professional articles extensively throughout her career.
She was a long time member of the Cleveland Audubon Society. She was a member of the Mentor Yacht Club of Lake Erie, where she enjoyed many years of sailing.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Georgia C. Foreman, her brother, producer John C. Foreman (and in his name she donated to the Idaho State University Foundation). She is survived by Marcene S. (Foreman) Johnson of Glendale Arizona (formerly of Pocatello) and six nieces and nephews. No memorial services will be held.
