Edith Irene Smyre Sigmon Campbell was my Husbands Paternal Grandmother. Edith's Father was John Rufus Smyre, and her Mother was Hester Caldomice (Cline)Smyre. We visited this wonderful lady several times, with great pleasure. She had a huge heart, and would feed all the stray cats in the neighborhood; but her pride and joy was her little dog Tippy. My Husband would mow her grass for her, while she would instruct him. She was a loving Wife and Mother of four. Her childrens names were Claude, Margie, Carl, and Becky. All deceased.
