David Robert Schleuder
1953 - 2011
Our beloved brother, David , 58, was called home by our Lord on May 17, 2011 after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jeanne and Russell Schleuder , brother, John David and now he leaves behind his brother Gary, Fremont, CA, Lance, La Canada; sisters, Toni Strong of Houston, TX, and Sally Rogers of Ventura. A funeral mass took place May 20th at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Camarillo. On May 21st, a graveside service and interment were held at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.
David was truly a joy and a blessing to everyone. He was always so happy - his smile lit up a room. Oh, how he enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics! He inspired a very special love - An "Angel Unaware" on earth and now perfect and whole in heaven. We will keep that close to our hearts. May you know, David , how all your brothers and sisters shall forever acknowledge the preciousness of your being -- the realness of you -- the dearness of you.
It will always be this way, David. You are the Lord's most precious and priceless gift from God, who touched our lives in the deepest true way. I will always cherish the special devotion and steadfast love we shared. The beautiful rainbow that appeared after the storm at your service in Minneapolis, gave me comfort and assurance that you are with God. Memories Eternal, Sally.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr. Ventura, CA 93003. (805) 642-8134
