The following information is regarding John and Elizabeth Lewis my 4th Great-Grandparents. Most all of the Lewis family descendants are buried in Little Vine Church Cemetery which is within 3 miles of this cemetery.

He was born in Virginia and his wife, Elizabeth was born in South Carolina. They married in 1814.

Their son was John Lewis (1815-1882),his grandson William J. Lewis, his great-grandson Edgar Wyatt, and his Grt-Grt-Grandson Roy Emmett Lewis are all buried at Little Vine Church Cemetery. One of the Lewis descendants Martin Benjamin is buried at Little Vine. He is the brother of my Great-Great-Grandfather, William J. Lewis.

My father Curtis E. Lewis' cousin, Howard Lewis, told us that he visited this cemetery once, and it was located in a grove of trees in a pasture. The cemetery in in poor condition and many of the grave markers are missing or illegible. The directions for finding it are listed below. Howard passed away a few years back. His father was James 'Newt' Newton Lewis who was one of William J's brothers.
