September 5, 1943 a baby girl was born to Lee and Minnie D. Parker Wyatt in Oakhurst, Texas. They named her Mattie B. Wyatt. She was raised in Oakhurst and educated in the Oakhurst ISD. Mattie attended church regualarly until her health failed. She loved to help everybody and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sammie Lee Glaze, 2 brothers, Haro Haward and L.W. Wyatt, a son, Horace Edward Glaze, a step-daughter Gloria Jean Ashley Glaze. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Matthew H. Thomas of Oakhurst, TX, 2 daughters, Alice Marie Glaze (Willie) of Oakhurst, TX, Betty Jean Wyatt Craft (Jack) of Dallas, TX; a step daugher, Beverly Ann Tatum (B.J.) of Huntsville, TX, 2 step-sons, Willie Lee Glaze (Jennifer) and Sylvester Glaze (Trenda)both of Shiro, TX, a brother, Bill F. Wyatt of Oakhurst, TX, 2 sisters, Mollie Wyatt and Barbara Ann White (Henry) both of Oakhurst, TX., 1 grandson, Ontario B. Wyatt of Huntsville, 1 grand daugher, Yolanda Glaza of Oakhurst, TX, 1 god-child Anita L. Sykes of Oakhurst, TX; and a host of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
